Brief Summary:
The next venturer social, acitve camp will be in the middle at Grafton. This is the weekend of the Jacaranda Festival, so there'll be lots to do. So far the program includes visiting the jacaranda festival including dinner from the night markets, fireworks and watching the parade (Grafton Scouts has a float). But it's not scouting if there aren't adventurous activities. We'll have canoeing and mountain biking. And the usual venturer type activities.

The times:

Arrive from: 4.00pm Friday 1 November 2024 - Grafton Scout Hall

Parent pick up: 3.30pm Sunday - Grafton Scout Hall (tbc)

Pack for:

Camping beside the hall (tent, bedding, mess kit, chair, torch)

Canoeing: swim wear including rashie, water shoes, hat, sunscreen, towel

Mountain biking: sunsafe clothing, covered shoes, mountain bike (optional)

The usual:

  • Uniform
  • Clothes - general, PJs, covered shoes
  • Toilettries (including towel)
  • Your sense of fun

Also, bring money to buy dinner Friday and Saturday night markets (about $15-20 per night). Or, you're welcome to bring your own dinner.
