Leaving on the Friday around midday to reach the campsite at around 4 pm. We will then stay one night at the campsite and leave the next day.
Day 1: Starting from Fitzpatrick Head, Wee Jasper we will begin the hike. Day 1 involves hiking up Mount Wee Jasper and stopping at the top for morning tea or an early lunch with scenic views. Then the hike back down the mountain begins and ends up at the next campsite; Log Bridge Creek Campsite. As the name suggests this campsite is located next to a creek so bring your swimmer if you are keen for a swim. Day 1 is a total of 12.2 km.
Day 2: Leaving from the campsite takes you down into the valley of Millers Creek. Day 2 follows along the creek most of the day with easy to moderate terrain. Not much else happens on this day but the campsite for tonight is also located next to a creek.
Day 3 : Day 3 will take you into the Micalong Swamp and into the Northern border of the Kosciusko National park. Lots of elevation today so be prepared for a hard day ahead. The day ends in a long walk down to the next campsite, where fresh water and amenities await at the Thomas Boyd Trackhead.
Day 4: The longest day, but also the flattest day. Day 4 will be easy terrain and the final few kilometres include walking down a road to the great Blowering Dam. Blowering dam is one of the biggest dams in NSW and also a great view to end the hike on. Once we finish the hike at the viewing platform over the dam, we will be driven back home.
