Brief Summary:
Hosted by GWSR, open to all regions. Practice day walks on the Royal Coast Track and Grand Pacific Walk. Daily walking times are approx. 9 am to 5 pm. Aim to start and finish based on connecting train from Central. If we are delayed we can update parents and travel on a later train.
Additional Information

Please note we are reaching out for Registered Adult Helpers, Rovers, Adults Leaders and Fellowship to support on these days. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW. Ideally 2 or more adult members to join with Tristan and a minimum of 5 youth to proceed.

This event is taking place over 3 days (Sunday and following Saturday and Sunday) If would be possible for members to join us for single days. Please contact us by email to discuss.

Prerequsite OAS bushwalking stages 1 & 2. All you and adults require a current Scouts NSW membership number and financial status. All adults on site must be registered with Scouts NSW.

Child safety is our number one priority at Scouts NSW. Therefore, all Adult Helpers are thoroughly screened, undergo a Police Check, must hold a valid, verified Working With Children Check and undertake two online training modules to ensure the safety of our youth members.

Sunday 11 January

12.7 km Otford Station via Otford Lookout, Cliff Track, Garrawarra Farm, The Burgh Track, Coast Track, Burning Palms and Palm Jungle

Saturday 17 January

Start Otford Station 9 am

Finish Austinmer Station 5 pm (approximate time only)

13.9 km Otford Station to Austinmer Station via Otford Tunnel and Grand Pacific Walk

Sunday 18 January

Start Austinmer Station 9 am

Finish Towradgi Station 5 pm (approximate time only) **may extend to Wollongong if running early

12.4 km Austinmer Station to Towradgi Station via Grand Pacific Walk and Bellambi Lagoon Nature Park

Grand Pacific Walk follows the coastline from the Royal National Park to Wollongong. Entry level to medium grades, undulating and exposed to the sun.

This walk takes in some breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Coast and Escarpment as it winds its way through a number of picturesque villages. The walk itself is easy grade on sealed pavement and road easement of Lawrence Hargrave Drive.

There are a number of landmarks and interesting features including the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge. 

Self catering applies and public transport is available to and from the venue.
