Unit C054 AJ2025 Shakedown Camp 

Travel is by parent drop-off.

Meet at the Girl Guide camp main campsite.  There will be other Jamboree Units arriving in camp, so look for your C054 Leaders.

Saturday:  Arrive, set up camp, and unit council to plan our weekend. Jamboree preparation, gateway, fence paling, and patrol systems. Visit and learn from the other units attending this weekend. Learn Jamboree skills like washing and kitchen / Duty Patrol

Sunday:  Review our personal and group equipment. Depart for home at 2pm.

The gear list attached is for this camp, and is sufficient for this camp. You will have the opportunity to look at the gear you will need for Jamboree.  This is a full standing camp, exactly as we will have at the Jamboree campsite.  Patrols will be required to do their patrol duties throughout the weekend.

The cost includes this camp, along with all expenses the Unit expects to incur at the Jamboree.

Packing List:
- Make sure you check the weather forecast and pack accordingly

- All meals from Saturday lunch to Sunday lunch will be provided - so no food needed.

- We will be sleeping in communal tents that we will be using at the Jamboree (no need to bring your own tent).

- Scouts will need to bring their scarf and wide brimmed hat. You will not need your Scout Uniform.

- Scouts will need their mess kit, sunscreen, 1st aid kit, day pack, drink bottle.

- Scouts will need their mattress, pillow, sleeping bag.

- Scouts will need clothes for the two days. Walking shoes. Warm clothes, raincoat etc based on the weather forecast.
