Empower is an exciting, action-packed camp for Scouts, with support from Venturers and Rovers, designed to inspire youth to make a real impact. Through hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning, participants will dive into the world's biggest challenges, exploring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and discovering how they can take meaningful action on local and global issues. Empower isn’t just about learning—it’s about doing, growing, and becoming change-makers in their communities.

  • Scouts will have the ability to achieve a number of participants across a range of challenge areas for their milestones. They can use some of the activities to start working towards other achievements, including the SDG Challenge and Community SIA.
  • Venturers and Rovers can work towards assists and leads in their milestone challenge areas. Please contact bianca.walkerden@nsw.scouts.com if there is a particular milestone or area that you would like to work towards.
  • All participants and leaders will stay in gender-specific and section-specific, dormitory-style bunk rooms.
  • The camp will go ahead, rain, hail or shine, so please prepare for all weather and bring a rain jacket.
  • The camp will have both Male and Female leaders present who are trained by Scouts NSW. All adults who attend the event will have completed Working With Children Checks, a National Police Check, and Mandatory training.
